Grad Village Corporation

Grad Village Corporation is a Delaware-based nonprofit organization dedicated to helping students bridge financial gaps in postsecondary education. Our mission is to ensure that students pursuing college, trade school, certificate programs, and professional degrees are not forced to drop out or delay graduation because of unmet financial need.

We support students at every stage of their journey, helping them start school, stay enrolled, and pay outstanding balances so they can obtain their diplomas or credentials after completing their academic requirements. Too often, students complete their coursework but cannot receive their degree because of an outstanding final balance. Grad Village Corporation works to close that last-mile funding gap and remove financial barriers to completion.

By focusing on degree and credential attainment, we directly contribute to workforce development and economic mobility. Every student who completes a program strengthens Delaware's talent pipeline and increases access to stable, sustainable employment.

Grad Village Corporation was founded on the belief that community support can change educational outcomes. We connect students with families, donors, businesses, and community partners who want to invest in their success in a structured and transparent way.

We believe that when communities invest in students, entire regions thrive.

About Us

Supporting Students at Every Stage of Postsecondary Education

Grad Village Corporation is a Delaware-based nonprofit organization dedicated to helping students meet financial needs in postsecondary education. We exist to support students who want to start, stay enrolled in, or finish college, trade school, certificate programs, and professional education.

Financial hardship should never be the reason a student drops out or delays their future. Yet every year, students are forced to withdraw because of tuition gaps, housing costs, books, fees, or unexpected expenses. Others complete their academic requirements but cannot receive their diploma or credential due to an unpaid balance.

We work to close those gaps at every stage.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help postsecondary students access the financial support they need to begin their education, remain enrolled, and successfully complete their program.

We support students by:
  • Assisting with tuition and educational expenses
  • Helping prevent students from dropping out due to financial hardship
  • Helping students pay outstanding balances so they can obtain their diplomas or credentials
  • Strengthening pathways from education to employment

What We Do

Grad Village Corporation connects students with structured, transparent community support. We create opportunities for families, donors, businesses, and community partners to invest directly in student success.

Start Support

Helping students cover initial costs to enroll and begin postsecondary education. We remove financial barriers at the starting line so students can pursue their dreams.

Retention Support

Assisting students who are at risk of dropping out due to financial strain. We help students stay enrolled and on track to complete their education.

Completion Support

Providing last-mile funding for students who have finished their coursework but need help clearing remaining balances to receive their diploma or credential.

Why It Matters

Postsecondary education is closely tied to long-term economic opportunity. When students are forced to drop out because of financial need, families lose stability, communities lose talent, and employers lose skilled workers. When students complete their education, communities grow stronger.

Grad Village Corporation was built on a simple belief: financial barriers should not determine a student's future. When communities invest in students, entire regions thrive.

Our Founder's Story

"It Takes a Village."

When my son was accepted into his dream school, I was proud. I was excited. I felt like all the sacrifices had finally paid off.

Then the tuition bill arrived.

Just weeks before, I had been laid off from my job. What should have been one of the happiest moments of our lives quickly turned into fear. I remember sitting at the table staring at the numbers, wondering how I was going to make this work. I wasn't afraid of hard work. I was afraid of letting my son down.

I called my aunt that night, overwhelmed and emotional. She listened. Then she said something that changed everything:

"It takes a village to raise a child."

Those words stayed with me. I realized something powerful. Families want to help. Friends want to help. Communities want to help. But there wasn't a structured, trusted way to connect that support directly to what students actually needed in postsecondary education: tuition, books, housing, fees, and, in some cases, the final balance standing between them and their degree.

That gap became my purpose.

I began speaking to students and families and discovered we weren't alone. Students were working two and three jobs just to stay enrolled. Some had completed all their coursework but couldn't receive their diploma because of a remaining balance. Others were forced to drop out over just a few thousand dollars.

These weren't failures of ambition. They were failures of access.

Grad Village was created to be the bridge.

We help students start school.

We help students stay in school.

And we help students pay outstanding balances so they can obtain the degree or credential they have already earned.

Because a completed education should not sit behind a financial wall.

But our mission goes beyond graduation. Postsecondary education is directly tied to workforce development. When students obtain their diplomas, they enter the workforce. They become nurses, teachers, entrepreneurs, engineers, technicians, and leaders. They strengthen their families. They strengthen their communities. They strengthen our economy.

Grad Village is about more than funding.

It's about dignity.

It's about opportunity.

It's about turning community care into real outcomes.

I didn't come from fintech. I didn't come from venture capital. I came from lived experience. I came from being a mother who refused to let financial hardship dictate her child's future.

Grad Village was born from that moment, from fear turned into faith, and from the belief that when communities invest in students, entire regions thrive.

It still takes a village.

And we're building a digital one.
